THE COMMA IS WHERE THE POWER IS

“When the enemy comes in, like a flood the Spirit of God will raise up a standard against him.” - Is. 59:19

Notice where the comma is. In many translations the comma has been placed after ‘flood’ making the enemy look like he has enormous power to destroy. However, in the original Hebrew, this verse puts the absolute power on God and His Spirit! The comma when placed in front of ‘flood’ disarms the enemy.

The enemy has been defeated thru the Cross and the words of Jesus - “It is finished.” He cannot come in like a flood. His only weapon is deception to make us think that way. Because when we are blinded to God’s truth we are powerless in the hands of the enemy.

There are many ‘truths’ and ‘narratives’ spinning around on the news and social media. Be careful where you put the comma - when placed in the wrong area you could either be its victim or you could be its overcomer.

The comma is where the power is! Side with Christ! Choose His views and His truth! The enemy is a liar! There is a raging flood...and it’s against the enemy not against humanity! We as believers must pray and act accordingly with His Word!

We will see this evil plot against humanity sink with all its lies and deceit.

I like this translation:

“In the west, people will respect the name of the Lord; in the east, they will glorify Him. For He will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the Lord.” - Is. 59:19 NLT
